I think that I would be enjoying Veronica's characterization a lot more if I could be assured that this was some sort of emotional arc where she ended up learning something about herself, but season 2 kinda put an end to my belief in that kind of thing. I think that Veronica's arc could be very powerful this season, but only if it actually is an arc we're in the middle of. And I just don't know!
While almost everyone seems so angry with Veronica right now I just feel so sad, because I've seen her wall herself off more and more as the series has progressed and I fear that she's going to end up being this closed-off person who never has any joy in her life because she never gives anyone a chance. The ending of this episode seemed promising, but we've experienced epiphanies on this show that ended up leading nowhere.
