Yeah, I agree to an extent, as I was saying so loudly after NotW that everything in that episode was pointing towards an arc that was heading somewhere.
I guess I'm just really shocked that people seem every bit as venomous towards Veronica's characterization this year as they did last. It just doesn't make any sense to me. I'll be a bit disappointed if this isn't a character arc at all, yes, but I prefer S3 Veronica endlessly compared to where she was last year.
But I am feeling pretty optimistic towards the chances of this being a character arc anyway, so I guess that probably has something to do with it. I do think the show could benefit from using Wallace more, as I think even the show doesn't seem to realize his worth in terms of how he's the one post-Lilly-era person in Veronica's life we've seen her open up to completely.
