That sounds absolutely insane. I cannot believe there was a TENT for all the heat stroke victims! O_O Five and a half hours is nuts but at least you did it! And lived!

You should get some of that aloe vera stuff for sunburns. I remember when I came back from the beach last year and had to reapply that stuff every ten minutes because I was burned so bad. Sunburns hurt. Good thing you had your parasol!
