Zzzz. I wish I'd stuck by my initial plan not to watch at all until hiatus, I haven't really enjoyed a single episode this season.

Clark: still a moron. But a hot one. Except for his GIANT FOREHEAD.

Can we start a petition to bring back the bangs?

I lol'ed so hard at Tess telling Stuart to RESPECT BOUNDARIES.

You know. By not reading the private medical files she ordered him to illegally hack.

I'm just saying.

I know people were bitching about the barn, but... I actually thought of all the times they redressed the barn set, this one was most successful! (Much better than in Noir when they tried to make it a parking garage!)

Also, the SWF'ing continues, complete with the shirt from the appropriate episode. Fuck you, show.

Oh, and the watch = most terrible anticlimactic reveal EVER. I was vaguely interested in Alia after that moment in the premiere, but now WHO CARES. Also note her lifting a helpless human by the throat. You know. LIKE VILLAINS DO.

I really don't care about Zod, but if nothing else, I want to make gifs of Callum LIEK WHOA during like...every scene.

He's so over the top in chewing the scenery and TRYING WAY, WAY, WAY TOO HARD and it's unintentionally HILARIOUS. You can totally imagine him offering Tess Australia.

Also, Lois' prom gets retconned AGAIN. In Gone, THE GENERAL apparently made her go with military escort or whatever. In Spirit, she claimed she never went. Now she stole a tank to get there.

No matter which way she tells the story, I STILL DON'T GIVE A FUCK.

A NOTE TO THE MAKEUP ARTIST WHOSE JOB IT IS TO APPLY THE FAKE GLYCERIN TEARS:

I actually think I almost genuinely enjoyed Ollie this episode.

I would have genuinely enjoyed him if I could forget, as the show wants me to so badly,
that Ollie kind of murdered Lex in cold blood for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

I do kind of want to read AU!Chlollie fic, though! Not really romantically, since I didn't get that vibe,
but just them together in this world all fucked up. IDK.

And Ollie gets to go down fighting against some of the worst CG ever.

And then there was a fight sort of not really (though Clark getting thrown through that one building was pretty awesome) and everyone died and Clark and Lois kissed and it was really boring.

And then Clark and Lois were all lovey dovey and hand-holding and decided to take it slow, though I don't think she knows "slow" means "no sex ever" in Clarkspeak, and Clark is a fucking moron who has learned nothing from seven years of secreths and lieths, if you think this is really him, which I still don't. Or at least I hope not because I have never hated Clark the way I do now.

AND THEN THIS SCENE WAS PRETTY AND CLARK CONTINUES TO BE A MORON.

"Trying to save Davis was wrong! We should have condemned him to hell while we had the chance! You are so stupid, Chloe!"

"TRYING NOT TO SAVE ZOD WOULD BE SILLY! ZOD JUST NEEDS A HUG OKAY. WHY ARE YOU SO STUPID, CHLOE?"

However, Ollie asking if Clark's master plan was to "hug it out" was the fucking best thing ever.

I love how Clark is interpreting his "mistake" in the future as not abandoning all of his friends,
but that he didn't realize then that Zod hadn't been hugged enough as a child or whatever.

And then all the bad guys kneeled before Clark. How very Justice Lord?

Thanks for the clips. A poster over at TWOp said that Clark's look when they all knelt before him was one of shock. That's not shock, that's really a no reaction look, not even the patented TW Confused look.

I don't think I've ever been this indifferent to a SV ep. I was so bored by it that even when noises prevented me from hearing some of the dialogue, I couldn't be bothered to rewind.

Sex scene = most awkward thing I've EVER seen on TV. EVER! I was totally okay with Lois before this season, but now that they're shoving Clark and Lois down the viewers' throats I've realized the chemistry is garbage between those two.

Really? I didn't watch last week but it sounded even more boring than this. I probably wouldn't have even bothered with watching this week either if they hadn't released promotional stills of future!Chloe with her crossbow. Which, go figure, was the only good part of the episode for me.

I would say that was the second-most-awkward scene on SV ever for me. Lana offering herself to Jensen Ackles and him being like, "...um, actually my cryptic comment before wasn't about wanting to have sex, it was about how maybe my mom is possibly trying to kill you or something! THANKS BUT NO THANKS!!!" probably still wins, but both scenes have the most awkward shirt-unbuttoning I have ever seen onscreen in my life.

That was the other thing I noticed. For all the pimping TPTB did about this hot, hot sex scene, very few people even mentioned it.

Well, they did put it out as the promo clip two weeks ago, so everyone was pretty much over it then, I think? Since I already watched the clip I just skipped through that part of the episode anyway.

Lex probably had an aneurysm when he found out Tess basically asked our new alien overlords to pitch a tent on Earth and gave them the Luthorcorp monies to do it.

Clark's only purpose on the show now seems to be to be a moron, but he sure does look beautiful while doing it.

I kind of really ship Tess with Lana, and want them to be crazy power-mad nutjobs together and then maybe have angry hatesex threesomes with Lex. I don't think Chloe is properly equipped to deal with Tess' crazy. Lana, on the other hand...

I actually dug her future outfits the most. The coat for her death scene was really well-cut, my favorite Chloe coat in a while.

Tess/Lana is crazy good! It'd explode like a grenade in a balloon! But Chless would be a good Chlex substitute. Strong chicks (Tess, Chlos, Lana (she earned it for me)) ruling the world, all the cool males are either pussywhipped douches* or dead or repentant killers.

Such a pretty show. I love the looks on Chloe's face, thanks for capturing them. I just despise how slow and directionless this season seems though. Like they won't get to the point. This was supposed to be some sort of climax, but I couldn't help think about DS9 redressing their sets.

This was the first episode I watched all season (and I only did, out of boredom) and the whole time I was like "Shoot her! Shoot her!". Even if they didn't, I got to see Tess shoot somebody. Crappy thing was, he didn't die. GAH. Tess gets to shoot someone and she can't even get a kill shot in. DUMB.

Chloe revealing herself in that moment WAS actually pretty awesome. It's kind of sad to me that at the end of the world, Clark and Nois do nothing, but have sex while Chlollie are trying to take down the big bad. I take that back...that doesn't surprise me AT ALL. But, still...Superman NOT joining in a group fighting the bad guys? JUST...NO WORDS. When he walked up and tried to start giving orders to them IN THEIR CAMP, I was like "What?! You can't just walk up and act like you're the stuff when you haven't BEEN THERE." Pissed me off.

Clark was a total d-bag in this episode and from what I understand, he's been like that all season. Glad I haven't been watching.

Seeing Ollie suit up was cheer-worthy. I was like, "Finally, an effing HERO in this business". Him going down the way he did made me proud of him.

Meanwhile, Zod dragging Clark, down the street, by one leg, CRACKED ME UP. Are we supposed to take that seriously? Because that was fracking hilarious.

Nois cared about Chloe when she died, but before then? She just LET HER DIE. That really pissed me off. Nois ran off ahead of her and then did NOTHING when Alia showed up. She could have screamed or made noises to distract her so that Chloe could try and run or defend herself. That was the most ridiculous scene EVER. Upside? Allison Mack's hair in those caps of that scene is absolutely GORGEOUS.
