OH SHOW. YOU AND YOUR META.
YES, CHLOE'S LIFE IS TOTALLY IN THE DUMPSTER. THANK YOU FOR ADMITTING IT.
Same shirt and coat as Stiletto, also hospital scene...
I don't know if it's relevant, but where else will I bring up my random wardrobe trivia knowledge?
It's not like they make Chloe Wardrobe Trivial Pursuit. SADLY.
I LOVED CHLOE THIS WHOLE EPISODE BTW. She got out and about (IN THE SUNNNNN!), she investigated things, and she did it with Clark...
...while looking SUPER HOT THE WHOLE TIME!
I loved Stargirl, but this scene was some of the worst acting I've ever seen on TV, lol.
The rest of the episode she was no worse than the typical standard of questionable acting on SV, thank goodness.
O HAI DOCTOR GAETA. STILL LOVE YOU.
...OKAY, HERE WE GOOOOOOOO
PRETTIEST. SCENE. IN FOREVER. AND EVER. AND EVER.
Speaking of pretty, Tom Welling looked good again this week!
Last week I thought he looked SO AWFUL, so hurrah for it being a temporary blip in hotness!
Also, Michael Shanks is super hot.
The Chlollie SWF'ing continues from last week, except in terms of cinematography they may actually be beating the original in this case :( SO PRETTY!
I KIND OF LOVE HER
THIS IS PRETTY TOO though obviously Chlollie won in terms of the scoobying-in-a-car pretty this episode.
But Chlark in the DP >>> ALLLLLL.
HARDCORE.
I LOVE MET GEN SO MUCH. I DO NOT MISS SMALLVILLE'S UGLY HOSPITAL AT ALL. EVER.
HEREAFTER SHOT!
"You walk the same path I do, Chloe Sullivan."
SWF'ed from the Chlark scene the previous episode. I LOVE IT.
I LOVE PHIL MORRIS IN THIS ROLE SO MUCH I CANNOT EVEN SAY.
I wish they used him more. He brings such gravitas to the role and seems to love playing it.
It walks like Clark, it talks like Clark, it's ICONIC! like Clark, but it's not Clark.
And yet she's having coffee together with it.
I'm still on the Eradiclark train, yeah.
And note that the coffee meta still has yet to play out with a single couple in the past two seasons. Nobody has EVER had coffee together where they both drink: for all the coffee shop scenes, nobody has ever HAD COFFEE TOGETHER. I'm probably going to give coffee meta its own freaking picspam because it's been practically a biweekly fixture on the show the past two seasons.
ANOTHER EMAIL FROM GOD LOL. Also, Tess is awesome.
IF YOU DID NOT LOL AT THIS FOREVER, I DO NOT KNOW YOU. OMG SINGLE PERFECT FROZEN EMO TEAR.
AHAHA I LOVE IT. SO CUTE. Also, Chloe? STILL LOOKING SUPER HOT.
Yellow flowers on the desk.
I WONDER WHY.
This scene was so sweet. I thought this really tied together the whole arc from Failsday to now.
Clark saying in Watchtower to Chloe, "I have no home." Which was ridiculous then and still ridiculous now.
Also, Stargirl hates the stupid cave and wants Chloe to buy some twinkle lights and some beanbag chairs and go on a shopping spree next time Pier 31 has a sale.
LISTEN TO HER, CHLOE.
The Hawkman and Ollie stuff was lolarious.
I wish they'd both been Bale-voicing at each other the whole time, it was HILARIOUS.
CLARK: You can give me that file or I can put you back in the hospital.
TESS: ...again.
CLARK: Again.
TESS: Should I just reserve my own private room at Met Gen? I mean, Lex did it at Smallville Medical so he would be able to stay comfortable when recovering from his daily concussions and bi-weekly gunshot wounds, so...
P.S. "YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS IN WAY OVER HER HEAD."
IS THIS REAL LIFE?!?!?!?
OMGGGGGGGGGG HI MM!!!! HI!!!!!!!
BADASS. SERIOUSLY. I LOVED THAT SO MUCH I CANNOT EVEN SAY.
It's a Geoff Jones script so that means this week killing is wrong.
So, if this is anything like last year, Clark should be advocating murder by next week or the week after.
OH SMALLVILLE.
...
"Who are you?"
"If I'm going to give you a front page story, does it matter?"
"...okay, then."
NO, SERIOUSLY, IS THIS REAL LIFE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
And the foreboding DUN DUN DUNNNNN type sound effect when she took the phone?
UNF.
I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. Ollie was so likable this whole episode!
And Hawkman was like, oh yeah, I didn't FLY until I embraced the love of my people and my WIFE.
i.e., IF SHE MAKES YOU WANNA FLY, YOU SHOULD PUT A RING ON IT.
Gee. Who's the go-to girl for Clark flying meta. This is so hard, you guys!
"I only say it because I care. You and Clark...Oliver...
You're my family here."
...this was my favorite scene the entire season.
I loved it SO MUCH I cannot even say. It was so heartwarming and sad at the same time, with the look on Chloe's face.
And that was my favorite moment all season, with her smiling as she finally goes outside and shuts the doors.
It's all gonna be okay. I can feel it.
"Do you believe in fate, Lois?"
"Only the kind you make yourself."
Exactly what Lana said last year.
"Welcome to the Suicide Squad."
O HAI AGENT MERCER.
Please don't use my caps for icons/art or repost elsewhere. Thanks!
I'm totes doing another picspam later just for the meta craziness in this episode, if I can find the time to put it all together. It was OFF THE CHARTS. SO MUCH OF IT. SOOOO MUCH.
The first half was a little slow; this really didn't need to be two episodes, but I'd gladly take two episodes of this rather than another one of pointless filler. Definitely my favorite of the season, but since Crossfire is the only other episode that I didn't hate or was bored out of my skull by, it didn't have much competition.
I loved all the stuff about family, though. It finally tied everything together from Failsday and this was the first time since Failsday where I felt like all the painful stuff was tying together and moving towards resolution. We know Chloe and Clark are each others' homes; they've been meta about that since Odyssey. But then Eradiclark was all "BAAAAAW NO I DON'T HAVE A HOME!" in Failsday, and that meant Chloe lost hers too, because she has nobody else.
When MM said that they were his family, it was so heartwarming, but I still felt the sting of how she'd lost Clark as hers. But then her closing the doors on Watchtower and her smile was wonderful.
I hope things keep looking up for her from here. ♥
Chloe aside...
Clark was... 相変わらず微妙だなぁ、と。 *laugh* There were pros and cons this episode but at least he didn't put anyone innocent in the hospital this week. Things are looking up! Also, I don't care about Ollie but I think after four years since introducing him, they're finally giving him a little bit of depth! He's starting to seem like a real person now!
And I loved ALL the JLA stuff but most especially Stargirl. It's been so long since we've had someone that optimistic on this show. I want her to stick around!
AND PHIL MORRIS IS AMAZING. THE END.
