SERIOUSLY. OMG. WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN.
It wasn't even raining enough to really need an umbrella when I left the house this morning, so I did not leave in rain-suitable shoes, but in a fabric pair resembling Keds. I was wearing a long peasant skirt with leggings, as this is usually a good wardrobe choice in the humidity.
When I got to my school station, it was beginning to pour. It's a twenty-five minute walk to school, and about five minutes in it began pouring so crazily I was scared to be outside in it - there's no cover or sidewalk on the way to school, so no mercy from the rain. It slowed after a few minutes, but by that point my shoes, leggings, and skirt were absolutely soaked, and the mud puddles were also massive. I walked the rest of the way with my skirt all gross and clingy, and my shoes going squish-squish-squish.
It kept raining all day, and began pouring in a scary fashion again right before it was time to go home. I guessed the roads must be semi-flooded at worst and giant mud puddles at best. I had to spend 980 yen on a taxi to the station, boo.
Then I got to my home station and the rain was still not letting up. My apartment isn't even a five minute walk away, so another taxi wasn't really an option. The rain was bouncing off the pavement like quarters, the road drains the entire walk home were full so the sidewalks were RIVERS, and the actual roads had a pretty good current going too. Shoes, leggings, skirt, all absolutely soaked again, but worse this time, since I LITERALLY HAD TO WADE THROUGH PART OF THE STREET. PAST MY ANKLES.
I am now home, and thunder has now kicked in and is rolling overhead, and I've heard three ambulances in the distance in the past twenty minutes.
And this is my desktop weather widget's forecast for the week:

IS THIS REALLY NECESSARY, SERIOUSLY
