I'm not sure as I've only seen one side of the story, but I do know that people were genuinally upset and the Allison community went into lockdown over it, instead of being able to openly recruit fans to write Allison letters of appreciation and such. I do know that both campaigns donating to charity was actually a coincidence, but I can understand the GG comm suspecting that we were following them in that case (as our plans for that were only being discussed in a heavily moderated community at the time)
I'm pretty sure the dates of the comms should confirm that the Allison LJ thank you comm was started up first, it was pimped in the sv-ledger actually, and then the following issue of sv-ledger was pimping global gratitude.
But I'm not totally sure either way, so I probably shouldn't have brought that up as I'm getting away from the topic a bit
