Eita and Toma: SAIKYOU KONBI, Y/Y?!! Y!!!!!! I love them both! I love them even more together! Toma messing up Eita's haiiiiir!

I think Toma's finally gotten a role that plays to his strengths in a drama that doesn't suck. HURRAH.

Love Eita's little tic of touching his chin while he's thinking. AND HIS EMO SLEEVES. EMO SLEEEEEEVES! I've always adored him in everything I've seen him in, but this is the first time I feel like Eita is really crushworthy.

Toma, meanwhile, is always crushworthy

Altogether: solid. Just...solid. Not wildly different or thrilling, but a normal procedural with the capacity for really good characterization as they dig into everyone's pasts and reasons for becoming for doctors as hinted in this episode. I'm just happy to be able to see Toma in something with depth where he's also smiling, and Eita is obviously wonderful. This one's a keeper.

Every time I wonder why the fuck I'm still watching this stupid show, which is an even suckier shell of the show of extremely dubious quality it used to be?

I rewatch this scene and I'm like, "Oh, right."

STUPID STUPID STUPID SHOW. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO MAKE ME LOVE THESE TWO AS MUCH AS CLARK LOVES PIE AND BEING A FUCKWIT.

Given that Lionel apparently hasn't gotten laid since S1, his crushing on anyone and everyone is perfectly understandable.

Oh, and the cradling of deadish!Chloe in "Fracture", which I just watched. I love Clark's perception that infamous billionaire Lionel Luthor carrying a dead young woman into the Talon wouldn't raise an eyebrow in Smallille. Then again, he has broken in there twice before.

If Lex can manage to have one-night stands with like twentysomething women during the time he was stranded on a desert island (and engaged to Helen), I have full faith that Lionel is living it up in offscreensville.

I think it's more a matter of it taking a lot to raise eyebrows in Smallville. Especially in the Talon. People have been trying to kill Lana there every other week for ages, it makes you wonder what they're putting in the muffins to keep the general public coming back.
