Even if they only figured it out from Turbulence on, why junkie Jimmy?
I STILL don't believe it was Clark at the end, but if it was, the smart thing to do would have been for Jimmy to find out Clark's secret in Stiletto when Clark got shot. He could have helped look for Chloe in Offscreensville when she went missing, been integrated into Team Kent, and then the IT'S ALL MY FAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULT bullshit on Clark's end might have actually almost rung true.
Why WOULDN'T you want to kill off Clark? How is that not more narratively interesting as a jumpoff point next year than the crap we got? And the only thing that's keeping me clinging to hope is the belief that it wasn't really Clark at the end, because the idea of telling CHLOE that humanity is worthless after everything she has sacrificed for him is BULLSHIT. I was ridiculously moved by his cheesy letter to Metropolis in the beginning, it was so Superman.
And he takes it all back because...Davis was a meanie so Clark is taking his toys and going home and humanity (and by extension, Chloe) can suck it? AGAIN, if they really wanted to sell Clark giving up on everyone, there are a MILLION better ways to sell that with buildup, and all the pieces were there.
I WANT A MASSIVE RETCON. CAN WE TIME TRAVEL BACK TO SEASON FIVE PLEASE? OR EVEN JUST THE START OF THIS SEASON SO I CAN GET THAT YEAR OF MY LIFE BACK, I'M NOT PICKY
