HOW CAN IT BE TOMORROW.

And so, six sequences I ended up rewatching as part of my *~emotional preparation~*.

The Christmas Invasion

The Family of Blood

"Oh, I think the explanation might be you've been fooled by a simple olfactory misdirection.
Little bit like ventriloquism of the nose. It's an elementary trick in certain parts of the galaxy.

It seems to be indicating you've got energy feedback all the way through the retrostabilisers,
feeding back into the primary heat converter!"

If the Doctor had never visited us... If he'd never chosen this place, on a whim...

Forest of the Dead
"There wasn't even anyone called Lee in the Library that day.
Suppose he could have had a different name out here, but let's be honest. He wasn't real, was he?"

What happens to me? Because when she heard my name, the way she looked at me..."

This is her diary. My future. I could look you up.
What do you think? Shall we peek at the end?"
"Spoilers, right?"
"Right."
"Come on. The next chapter's this way."
When you run with the Doctor, it feels like it will never end.
But however hard you try, you can't run forever.
Everybody knows that everybody dies, and nobody knows it like the Doctor.
But I do think that all the skies of all the worlds might just turn dark,
if he ever, for one moment, accepts it.
"...oh! Oh! Oh, look at that! I'm very good!"
"What have you done?"
"Saved her!"
Everybody knows that everybody dies. But not every day.
Not today.
Some days are special. Some days are so, so blessed. Some days, nobody dies at all.
Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days,
when the wind stands fair, and the Doctor comes to call...
Everybody lives.

"Can we have a look?"
"What, in the TARDIS? MY TARDIS?

Date: 2010-01-01 07:21 pm (UTC)I just. I was never attached to Ten with Rose at all, but then series three I loved him so much more, and then Ten and Donna were my MOST FAVORITES EVER. I thought the writing for Ten took a while to click and then a little longer still for me to really get attached, but now that it has, I just want more time. :( The whole specials format makes it really feel like it's coming out of nowhere, at least when it airs weekly I feel like there's proper buildup.
Plus I have my Donna *~emotions~* stacked on top of that. I watched Turn Left last night at three in the morning and was just bawling.
