SO HEY GUYS HOW ROCKIN' WAS THAT VAMPIRE DIARIES FINALE? PRETTY ROCKIN'. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO LIVE WITHOUT VAMPIRE DIARIES UNTIL FALL? I DO NOT KNOW. THIS SHOW IS THE BEST EVER. HOW DID IT GET SO GOOD SO FAST.

Need to catch up on Who and Sunanare, both of which I'm two weeks behind on...but right now I am finally determined to catch up on Gossip Girl. I stopped watching at the end of S1's first hiatus, and just never took the time to go back to it again. But ever since mojotastic posted the promo where Serena was getting imprinted on by the wolf pack (OMG BEST PROMO IN THE HISTORY OF THE CW NETWORK NOT LIKE THAT'S HARD BUT STILL), I decided I need to make it appointment TV again. At this rate I'm gonna finish S1 by tomorrow or the day after, and am loving it like crazy despite being thoroughly spoiled and knowing that It's All Downhill From Here.

(I LOVE SERENA AND CHUCK'S RELATIONSHIP POSSIBLY MORE THAN ANYTHING. I was expecting to find them being wildly inappropriate, and they are that, and all the incest cracks were hilarious. But they are also SURPRISINGLY GENUINELY WONDERFUL?!! I was not expecting that at aaaaaaall!)

Haha, you totally need to! I bought two of the remastered TV DVDs last week, where it isn't just remastering but they actually reanimated lots of parts of the final episodes from scratch (and added in new shots they couldn't afford before), where they had run out of money and the animation was terrible. I hadn't seen them before since the American release was the crappy aired version, and was geeking out SO HARD.

They put both the crappy original air version and the updated version on the DVDs and I was like *_____* IT'S SO PRETTY! AND ALSO THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A SPECIAL EDITION UPDATED DVD GEORGE LUCAS OMG HOW AWESOME THAT I CAN WATCH THE FUGLY VERSION AND THEN THE PRETTY ONE BACK TO BACK AND MARVEL AT THE DIFFERENCE. So, um, remastered versions = highly recommended when you watch!

omg I loooove Gossip Girl. I did a SERIES rewatch this Christmas, all 55 episodes so far, and fell in love all over again. I have only seen TWO of the second half of this year, but I'm counting down the days till I get to watch the rest of the season. (I'm thus far unspoiled, hee!) I don't think it's downhill from Season 1- Unlike other shows that SHALL NOT BE NAMED, they actually REMEMBER shit that happened a year or two before. When Jenny CALLED Chuck OUT and then he APOLOGIZED for what he did in the PILOT, I nearly fell out of my chair! And I love how their Core Four's relationship (Nate/Chuck/Blair/Serena) remains complex and close.

Another thing I love about Gossip Girl is that I pretty-much love every character and every ship (EXCEPT for Dan/Serena. HATE.) Nate, especially, I love him with every female on the show, haha. Aww hell, I love Nate all the time. He really shines in Season 2- they get him out of his manwhore rut and give him an actually good storyline with his parents.

I also want to finish the book series this summer. I'm halfway through. I have the rest of them, I just haven't had time to finish them.

Haha, idk the storylines seem to get pretty nuts after S1 though, from what I've heard? I might finish S1 today, but I am dying to get to S3 just because I really want to see Serena and Nate hook up. They're both SO DUMB and SO PRETTY, I am positive this is going to be a winning combination.

I kinda almost think it's better to watch Gossip Girl in large chunks because then the overall flow of the season doesn't get lost. I watched seasons 1 and 2 straight and then season 3 as it aired, and when I watched it all at once I could be like, oh in that episode so and so was annoying, on to the next! Whereas this time, I was like, OMG "LFSJF"LDSFKJ WHY IS THAT PERSON SO INFURIATING S"LDFJSD"LFKJ DIE DIE DIE. The wolf pack moment was A+. I love Chuck and Serena moments. I think that the characters play off of each other well.

Truth! Jenny's already driving me crazy and giving me serious secondhand embarrassment, but at least I can just move on to the next thing.

I saw that and asked my friend if the cliffhanger for hiatus was if whether or not Serena would get EATEN BY WOLVES, and was very disappointed to find out this was apparently not the case.

AHH! I had a whole comment typed up and then hit a button and it all deleted! SADNESS. Now I will never be able to remember all the deep and profound things I had to say about the quality of Vampire Diaries and Ian Somerhalder and his douchey face and how much I love him. Or how OMG AWESOME the finale was. IT WAS OMG AWESOME.

I love the wallpaper! As soon as I get my desktop cleaned off I'm totally using it. It's gorgeous. How do Ian and Nina have such smoking chemistry? I love all their scenes together.

Also you know how excited I am that you're catching up on the flossy that is XOXO. SO MANY WONDERFUL STORYLINES ARE IN YOUR FUTURE. S1 will always hold a special place in my heart but the beginning of s2 is awesome. OMG I wish we could watch the s2 preimeire together. It has one of the BEST Gossip Girl moments ever that involves fake accents and royalty. Also that episode is very pretty! And then when you get to s3 there are WOLVES imprinting on Serena! And Serena/Nate being the cutest, stupidest, prettiest couple of all time. I GET SO EXCITED ABOUT GOSSIP GIRL. It's like the crack baby show of my heart.

Agreed so hard about Serena/Chuck. They are delightful. Everytime they have a scene together my heart soars. I have no idea why but they are just the most precious. He's so skeevy and she is like "lol shut up perv and help me hide my snuff film!" and he's like "Ok! BFF4L!"

IT WAS SO AWESOME. I wanna rewatch the whole season now and relive the magic! I started rewatching the pilot the other day, thinking maybe it had been better than I thought at the beginning. But no. The pilot was totally FOG MACHINE and FEELINGS JOURNALS and RIDICULOUS. I am so glad I stuck with it!

Also, did you watch that Rolling Stone interview Ian Somerhalder posted on his twitter? IF NOT YOU MUST, POST-HASTE.

Haha, I'm at work in the basement and almost through 1x17 now. The OT4 are obviously perfect, but Nate and Vanessa are KILLING ME. He stole his personal essay and invaded his privacy and apparently this is how they hooked up? VANESSA I AM PRETTY SURE STALKING IS A SERIOUS COMMITMENT, HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO STALK NATE AND DAN AT THE SAME TIME

OMG I AM SO EXCITED. I almost want to skip right to S3 now because there was that one moment where Serena told Nate to forgive Blair, and they made those silly faces at each other, and I AM PRETTY SURE THEY WILL BE AMAZING which is impressive considering how bored to tears I was by Nate's whining at the start of S1. They are both SO DUMB AND SO PRETTY. I really want to watch that episode where they try to be card sharks and walk in slo-mo more than ANYTHING.

I love that the one character trait of Vanessa's that is ALWAYS consistent, besides being completely annoying, is the stalker thing. It's amazing. I literally laughed SO HARD at that episode when she finds his essay and reads it and then gets HIM to meet HER to tell him she read the essay and also he's not all that bad now that's she's properly stalked him. OH Nate/Vanessa you are so out of nowhere and hilarious. Only Nate is stupid enough to fall for that line.

I think half of the appeal for Nate/Serena for me is them just making stupid faces at each other and like twirling and giggling. They are like the stupidest happiest puppies.

NGL that episode is AMAZING. It's really up there in my favorite GG episodes of ALL TIME. Serena and Nate trying to be card sharks is the most hilarious idea in the universe.

EXACTLY. I love their sibling relationship. Like Serena is so grossed out by him but is like "ugh you're so gross, but I <3 you anyway." OMG did you see the episode where he wears his old timey bathing suit and is the worst lifeguard EVER? I still laugh just thinking about that outfit. AND THE DOLPHIN SWEATER.

YES IT IS. BAGELS! I'm watching the finale now (except I have no more episodes on my hard drive after I finish, oh noessss) and am really looking forward to Chuck's best man speech lolololol.

Also, how does Blake have the most amazing hair in the universe? I really admire how the show figured out the look that works for her and sticks with it, with all the crazy fashion you would think they'd try some terrible hairstyles sometimes, but she always looks FANTASTIC. WELL DONE, SHOW.
