PROFESSOR: How many of you are planning to be here for next week's class? (ends at 4:30 the night before Thanksgiving, pffft, good luck)
TWO PEOPLE: *raise hands*
PROFESSOR: ...I don't care if only one person shows up, I am still lecturing, and all of you can just feel bad about missing out on the material!!

I also had to go ask Chris to repackage my JET reccomendation.
CHRIS: Isn't this the second time you've asked me to do this?
ME: ...yes. But it has to, um, match the diagram.
CHRIS: There's a diagram?!
ME: I find it as ridiculous as you do, I assure you.
CHRIS: *fixing the letters* I wrote in both blue and black ink on these sheets. Is that still acceptable? Would these people prefer that I stacked each set of letters, or folded each set individually into the envelope? Do they require a sample of my DNA as well?
ME: Normally I'd say, "Whatever you think will separate my application from the pack!" but as the DNA sample thing wasn't in the diagram, so probably it's a no-go.
I know people are calling Veronica out on her being the way she was with Keith, but...I really think cheating is a hot-button issue with her after Lianne. Though to be honest, after Lianne, I'm trying to figure out how it's not a huge issue with Keith himself!! It doesn't make much sense. :/
Put on some pants, Veronica. Oh, and I loved the R.A. offering the girl tea!
Veronica slamming Logan for not giving up his alibi, however, was just a bit too mean for me.
I wish they'd just make Vinnie a regular. Ilovehim.
If Veronica gets the internship, how hilarious would it be if she ended up working for Agent Xena's team? Just sayin'. They already don't like her at the FBI. The CIA might be a better gig. Then she and Sydney Bristow could trade tips on coming up with new aliases and argue over who has the more awesome TV dad or the worse mom. (Stealing a check vs. being a renowned terrorist: game, set, match!)
Hee! NO TOUCHING! Given all the scenes in cells we've had, I'm shocked it's taken them until S3 to get around to that one.
General opinion seems to be that Piz needs to get punched in the face a little bit. I keep waffling on him, but I don't think I'd mind just on general principle that it might be fun to see that emo hair flying all over the place when his head reels back.
Speaking of reeling? That's how the ending left me. It felt like S1, y'all!
And who knew that in an episode where Veronica set foot in the River Styx again, that wouldn't even come close to being the scariest thing that happened to her? I wanted to cry when Logan saw the hair and realized what had happened.
Altogether, though, I am really sad at how fandom is so overwhelmingly bitter towards Veronica's characterization as of late. I am really loving her lately. A lot. I know everyone else is complaining, "Veronica's just a bitch now!" and then hold up her S1 characterization on this pedestal because, "It was okay for her to be a bitch in S1 because she'd been wronged!" I just don't agree with that. Veronica existing in shades of grey has always been a huge part of what turned me onto the character in the first place. And the past few episodes have demonstrated her trust issues, but in a way that they showed they were Not A Good Thing and something Veronica could acknowledge she needs to work through.
I just don't get it. What do people want? For Veronica to be stupidly trusting and lose her cynicism? That puts us back in early S2. I don't think it's impossible for her to overcome this to a certain degree -- Logan overcame his faults last year to such an extent, she can do it too. But this is one character arc where I'm along for the ride and curious to see how it pans out.
Watching Torchwood now before I go to work on my paper. I keep thinking, "I don't even like this show. It's utter trash. Why am I watching it?" Then they kick off the episode with shirtless John Barrowman and I'm like, "I think I can suffer through this." I've totally dismissed all hopes of this show ever being decent and have now embraced the fact that itsmain only redeeming feature is John Barrowman's exceptionally fine ass.
Because I should be writing my paper...I think this calls for a poll on this v. important issue:

That does not surprise me in the least, he seems your type.
I'm really not having issues with this the way other people are. Trust has always been a factor since Troy for goodness sake, and I was really happy this season when she actually recognized the issue and said she was trying to work on it. After last year when her trust issues vanished from the show entirely, I never even expected this much. The trust issues seem to be the cracks in the L/V relationship anyway, and I think if that's indeed the reason they break up, it could go somewhere interesting. I guess it comes down to whether people are viewing it as a potential character arc, or just something repetitive. I'm hoping for the former.
I...so don't agree with that post. I don't think the issue here is that Logan is a horrible human being unworthy of Veronica's trust. It's that Veronica demands such a high standard of other people when she is not a nice person herself, and it's very hypocritical. Which was actually why I loved the end of this episode, with her seemig to actually acknowledge that in a roundabout way by saying she wasn't loving Logan and Keith enough.

I don't agree that Logan is a horrible human being. XD; I do think that he does have a shoddy history (including the recent room-burning incident) and he is not a perfect person. Whereas the show really has been angling it so that Logan is a great guy all the trust issues are Veronica's fault and that she should really shape up and get her act together. I think it's quite understandable and natural for Veronica to be wary. I'm glad that the series is letting her be that way, but I'm not happy with the YOU WILL HAVE V. BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO YOU IF YOU DON'T OPEN YOUR HEART 100%.
