Went to see PotC a second time with murasaki_kaze. It was much, much better the second time around. Then we went back to her place and watched Doctor Who. It was having one of its good weeks (I'm starting to think of the show as tragically bipolar).

While I was at her house, she found out that her EGL comms were warning everyone about Strikethroughgate, but I didn't realize it was such a big deal until I woke up yesterday morning. I spent the morning reading through it, and then spent my evening capping Dead Man's Chest and rewatching Slings & Arrows S1 with my brother (mojotastic made a truly kickass picspam/videospam post for Slings & Arrows, hurrah!). After much laughing at Orlando Bloom and laughing at Darren Nichols (for very, very different reasons) I came back and then the apology was up.

In which I cover the important plot points, and the far more important picspam of Tsukasa's atrocious S1 coats.

1. Hebi Yori Dango (AKA, There Are Motherfucking Snakes On Tsukasa's Motherfucking Plane)
I am not sure I will ever top this. Ever.

_jems_ did this while adding the picspams that only exist in her head, which I am copying too. *g* I'm probably going to get around to most of these now it's summer, at least I hope so!

5. Slings & Arrows general picspam.

4. Chloe's Hair: the good, the bad, the ugly, and an investigative report into Where It All Went Wrong In S6 With The Bangs.

3. Top 25 Chloe/Clark moments. Not necessarily 25, I don't even have a list, but there would eventually be a set number and a countdown list and picspam to go with it and stuff.

2. Chlionel general picspam, done in chronological order. Mostly so I can geek out over them, and for added hilarity you would get to see them go from unsettling UST, to Underground Railroad, to LOL PASS THE YAMS! in several easy steps.

1. Hana Yori Dango = Veronica Mars S1. In the tradition of crackers4jenn's "Buffy = VM" and bellanut's "The West Wing = VM" posts. I have actually seen a thread in VM comms where people agreed that Meteor Garden = VM, so I know I'm not alone. I actually have this mostly written up and I know the beats I want to hit, but I'm not sure where I stashed my Hanadan S1 DVD to actually take the caps I need.

Wow! There are so many things I want to comment to in this post I don't even know where to stttarrrrttt! So this comment might be as bipolar as this season of Doctor Who.

You know, I loved Rose. A lot. A lot a lot alot. BUT. By clubbing us over the head with the fact that SHE IS GONE it's not exactly helping me get over the fact that she is gone. It hurts my heart everytime they mention her. And since they do it about once per episode...my heart hurts alot? (Also, because every other episode kinda sucks.)

Thanks for pimping out my post! I couldn't find any really good caps of the show, so I kinda had to make due with what I could find. Thankfully, someone is as in love with Paul Gross as I am, so I could do the awesome sequence with his uncontrollable weeping. I laugh thinking about it. Apparently there is also another Darren Nichols fangirl on youtube, because there are a ton of Darren clips. In fact I think I have all of Darrne's best moments favorited "I was stabbed! By a MAD MAN!" "Are you sure you don't want breakfast?" "...I had a crueler in the hospital." OH DARREN! I wanna see a Darren Nichols spinoff where he directs the Humpty Dumpty musical!

PICSPAM OMGZ SO PRETTY WAFFLES OTP OMG KISSING OMG NOT MAKING SENSE ANYMORE! Now I cannot wait more than ever to get my copy of DMC. Hurry up Netflix! I laughed at so many things in your picspam, I lost count. Also I have no idea what it is about Orlando Bloom that makes him so mockable. Maybe it's everything? I was mostly upset about the lack of his feathery hat from the first movie. So a friend of mine made a manip of Orlando Bloom in a feathery hat with My Little Ponies. I don't really think that anything could top that in pure awesome-ness.

I think the third movie helped me re-discover my love of the second movie...if that makes any sense?

PICSPAMS!!! I seriously don't know how *any* picspam could possibly beat out the Muthafucking snakes on Domyouji's Muthafuckin Plane picspam. I just don't even think it's possible. That's how perfect that picspam was. It is un-rivaled in perfection. (Although I did love all those other picspams, espically the recap of season 1.)

All of the fictional picspams sound so awesome. I was thinking about doing a picspam of all Chlark kisses....which sorta turned into a picspam of awesome Chlark moments and it's been growing ever since. If it ever sees the light of day? It'll be a monester.

I think that the VM=Hanadan picspam is a must! As is the Chloe's hair picspam....just to understand where it all went wrong. How did she go from awesome hair to ugly mom hair in one season? I need answers!

(One day, I will do the Lois: Smallville's Breast ASSet picspam. And it will be awesome.)

Hee! Bipolar comments ftw!

I loved Rose while she was there, but honestly it doesn't make that much sense for the Doctor to be all, "CRYYYYYY!!!! ROSE IS GONNNNNNNE!!!" because how many other companions did he have before her that he never talked about? It seems like crappy continuity, plus all of the whining is not helping the healing process, and it's just not making anyone look good.

I think my favorite Darren moment still has to be the swordfight. And just...everything with the East Hastings musical. Especially when he proclaims that they're going to remove the plot and replace it with inappropriate dance numbers!

OMFGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG THAT MANIP WITH THE HAT AND THE PONY AND. AND. BEST THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. EVER. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW AWESOME THAT IS.

I know I'll never top the Hanadan Snakes on a Plane picspam. It's tragic, really, to reach the pinnacle of my LJ career so early in life. :(

I actually took the caps for the Chloe!hair picspam and lost them, but it's actually REALLY hard to tell where it all went tragically wrong. Because I think there was some kind of weird...sub-bang point? Where everyone knew the hair was not as it should be, but it still didn't actually look bad because of the styling? 'Cause I think they cut around "Static," but they made it look so awesome in the barn scene and stuff. Then "Subterranean" threw me for a loop because it was filmed out of order and was back to being awesome hair again. And "Hydro" was extreme, but I prefer it when they curl the fuck out of it to the more recent styles when it's just limp. CRY.

The Lois picspam sounds like pure brilliance...if you can stand to sit through all of the Lois scenes again. That would totally break me. (Did you ever watch "Crimson"?) The Chlark one sounds way safer and saner. And prettier.

We can take over the internets with Chlionel! Hee! It's DESTINY!

OMG every Darren moment is my favorite too. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO CHOOSE! OMG the inappropriate dance numbers! That was amazing. I loved when he was like "We'll just get rid of the story!"

Perhaps one day....one day you will reach such heights of awesome again. But I have no idea how. Because I still laugh to this day even thinking about it.

SEE! This is why I need pictorial evidence...to help us get through this trying time. I mean, it went from me loving her hair in s5 to....what happened to those bangs? See! This is why you don't mess with the Luthors. They will take you down, one unfortunate hairstyle at a time until you are wearing a hair helmet! (and ugly shoes and ur boyfriend sux!1!)

Oh please. There is NO WAY I would cap the scenes myself. I'm not *that* huge a glutton for punishment. I'd just hit up an ED fansite for caps. I watched Crimson and....I still feel unclean, months afterwards.

(The Chlark one will *definitly* be prettier. That's pretty much a given.)

The lighting, how they're partially in shadow, the map behind them...SO PRETTY.

WORD. Here's to hoping the show stays on its meds for this week's episode. :( And soon I imagine it won't matter quite as much; if I can watch Torchwood merely for the sake of John Barrowman's fine ass, then I can sit through any crappy episode of Who with no trouble.

Wellll...42 was really, really boring though. I actually prefer Torchwood's mockable alien sex tape brand of stupidity to a painfully dull hour of television. (But I would never want Who to be bad in the way that Torchwood is. Not that it ever could be. "WAIT! HAVE ONE OF US SHAGGED IT YET? WE ONLY GO AFTER THE ALIENS WE'VE SHAGGED, REMEMBER!")

And the emo!Dalek episode was...well, on the Cheesy Bad Episode Scale (1 is semi-crappy, 10 is OMFG HOW COULD THE BBC FUND THIS SHIT), I would put that episode as a 1 with the Torchwood episode with the sluttified Cyberwoman getting eaten by the pterodactyl as a 10. BUT THEY'RE ON THE SAME CHEESY BAD SCALE, WHICH IS NOT A GOOD SIGN.

Are you free tomorrooooow? I wanna watch something with you before work slaughters me. :(

I generally found that with all three of the movies, my feelings towards them changed a lot upon repeat viewings. I really hated the third one my first time around, but when I rewatched it with lowered expectations, I enjoyed it more.

I hope to do it really soon! I've been planning that one for months now, so I can't wait to get it done. The world needs to know the similarities VM shares with a Japanese soap opera! *g*

I strongly agree with that sentiment. I liked AWE better the second time around, but I far prefer the movie with Jack Davenport being awesome and Jack/Elizabeth.

The S&A picspam would have already happened, but for that I cannot wrench the episodes away from my brother! He keeps rewatching them obsessively. I think I've created a monster. *g*

I didn't even think of the Chloe wardrobe post! I think it's because it's less of a picspam in my head than it is a future website database. And I don't think it's on my picspam tag, either. *g*

Hee, it's so funny to hear you say I'm influencing you, as I did not really ship Chloe/Clark (except in a detached, "Well, anything's better than Clana..." way) until the finale last year, actually. All through S5 I was just enjoying them as best friends. But then their, "THE WORLD IS ENDING SO IT'S TIME FOR MUTUAL KISSAGE!" kiss in the finale made me a fan. Until then I was primarily shipping Chloe/Lex. Who I should really do a picspam for as well, since they used to be my favorite. *g*

And hurrah for Chlionel picspam support! (...I secretly believe that the entire world loves Chlionel, they just don't know it yet. And it's my job to bring the picspam and show them the light.)
