HAHAHA I HAVE SO MUCH SHIT I SHOULD BE DOING AND YET. THIS HAPPENED. I DON'T EVEN KNOW, YOU GUYS. I was just sort of thinking about how I don't hate J.J. Abrams anymore so much, and then... LIGHTBULB. So obviously a picspam had to happen because I haven't done picspammy this month yet.

This is like the worst picspam evah because I left my S1 Alias DVDs in America, and alias-media.com has the shittiest quality caps evar, so that's the reason for the silly coloring. Not like it helped. :(

FUN FACT: I don't even really ship Syd/Will?! And yet I do! And yet I don't! I just love them exactly as they were on the show. So, um...I ship them as friends with benefits, then, I guess? I DON'T KNOW.

Not that they really have a choice in the matter.

'Cause, remember that time they got tortured? That was not fun.





And hey, remember that other time they got fired from their papers?

For being TOO COMPETENT and SAVING THE WORLD?

That was REALLY NOT FUN.





But the sidekicks are always there as the BFF shoulders to lean on...

I've never watched Smallville, but I really enjoyed the Syd/Will part (first of all, because I've never really understood the 'awesomeness' behind Sydney/Vaughn and secondly, Syd/Will was my first Alias otp). And now I kinda want to watch Smallville although I've heard that it gets kinda crappy in later seasons. y/n?

Haha, I started watching Alias in S3, so I was actually shipping Syd/Weiss when I started (and my Syd/Vaughn hate never went away after watching Syd cry FOREVER). Then I went back and watched S1 and S2, and loved Syd and Will, but since I already knew how it ended, I never really wanted more out of the pairing than what happened on the show?? Their last scene in S3 is one of my favorites ever, I thought that was done so well. <3

Smallville is soooo bad right now that I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anybody. DON'T FALL INTO THE TRAP.

Never watched Alias but they are definitely very similar and Chlark should definitely have spy sex. heehee At least once anyway but then they would never part after that. Awww, great comparison! I loved loved Will and Sydney's relationship, I was so sad when they wrote him off. But at least he visited! That line he says to her whe he finds out the truth, "... I just love you", is so beautiful. *sigh*

Oh, them being fired. Another great comparison! I felt so so SO bad for Will, poor guy. =[ =[ =[ Remember the episode where they had that spy from SD-6 try and tempt him into writing again? I was so scared he'd give in!!!!!!! Thank God he didn't! And, of course, can't forget my Chloe being canned. I still miss her @ the Daily Planet. Yeah, same! Will and Irina were my favorites so I missed them like crazy after S2. I felt like the show lost a lot of its heart after Will was gone. I loved both episodes where he visited, though!

I wasn't a Lost fan; I watched S1 but really never clicked with any of the characters. Plus, J.J.'s track record with ending TV series in ways that don't leave the fandom flailing in rage? Not so good. He pretty much lost my trust with the Alias ending, I can't go through that again. :(

He's earned back some love and forgiveness after Star Trek, but I can't trust him with another TV series anytime soon. MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT.

S2 is one of my favorite seasons of television ever, but after that it gets bad pretty quickly. I kind of wish I'd stopped at S2 myself. XD

I watched season 1 of Alias a few years ago now, and keep meaning to get around to watching the second season... I remember finding Vaughn incredibly tedious, and the ship with Sydney reminded me too much of Clana where there's all this forced tension to keep them on/off, but it never rings true.

Vaughn always bored me to tears. Syd and Vaughn were dull as hell together, but except for S3, I was mostly able to ignore them. My OTP for the series was awesome enough to distract from their boring *~drama~* easily. Plus, I always felt the heart of Alias was the father-daughter relationship; it was always good even when the ships were not!

S2 is one of my favorite seasons of television, period, but the show falls off a cliff quality-wise pretty fast after that.
