I lol'ed at Clark doing his sound check. It's so rare for Clark to get called on being an idiot these days, I take it where I can get it even if it's for something as minor as this.

So Clark fills out an online dating survey that is supposed to put you with your perfect match. He ends up with a hot blonde who is crazy smart and wants to save the world.

HMMMMM.

I'm guessing Cat was lying on her survey in some weird attempt to get the job? I hope she shows up again, I wanna see what SV's version of Cat Grant is really like!

…OMG he really really really loves her. I can't get over how much. HE LOVES HOW SHE CALLS OUT FOOTBALL PLAYS IN HER SLEEP!

THIS SCENE WAS SO GOOD. I KIND OF LOVE THEM. And while so far this year I've basically been like, "lol, try harder to make me love Ollie so you can try for your stupid spinoff, show, it isn't gonna fly after the shit he pulled last year! I hate him and will always hate him!"

Except this was one of the most unabashedly romantic scenes ever on the show (the lighting! the face touching! the forehead kissing!) and she shot him down and he was totally graceful about it as his heart was breaking and and and...

HE WAS TOTALLY CHLOE IN "DEVOTED" HERE :(

DAMN YOU, SHOW! YOU MADE ME LIKE HIM A LITTLE JUST WITH THIS SCENE.

Also, I'm trying to think of a show where the couple with the most forehead kissing wasn't a show OTP. I AM COMING UP BLANK.

The fact that Clark listened to that grand speech and yet came out of it basically going, "BUT HOW CAN I MAKE THIS ALL ABOUT MEEEEE?" is…so expected, but still… *headdesk*

I think it would have worked so much better that way, though as it was I felt like the kiss had a kind of creepy foreboding vibe even without the montage song playing over it…
