These three just seem weirdly similar to me. The actual death scene in Reckoning not so much, it's so short (though the deleted scene at the Fortress comes off pretty Jesus-y). Labyrinth and Phantom both had a bit of pietà cradling, but not filmed as epic, while with these three I feel like they're linked somehow: Clark dying in the premiere, Jenry dying when we all thought it would be Clark, and now Jor-El biting it while wearing Darth Clark's outfit.
If Clark isn't real!Clark now...and Jor-El is dressed as Darth Clark too... maybe this one is a placeholder for basically showing, "This shit is bananas."
So when we get real Clark back, the mirror would be: Clark holds dying Nois (to mirror Jenry), and then Clark holds Chloe and they fly together (to mirror the last shot in the Odyssey column)?
Labyrinth and Phantom both have the pieta blocking, but neither one has the epic-looking wider shots that the above three have going, those are pretty tightly shot the whole way through.
With Artic... I always thought they were more going for:
Currently in the process of doing a similar picspam ^^^ if I'm going to place bets, I think it'll be Clark holding Chloe in the finale. But unlike the others, it won't end there...
Damn. That is seriously similar... not to mention creepy. I wonder if later this season we might see Clark holding dead!Nois, or better yet, since Ollie was there in Odyssey, we might see HIM holding her. And then of course the final image of the series could be Clark flying off with his real Lois. :D

lol don't feel awkward! SV isn't my only fandom so my flist is kind of big, so I mostly only add SV people who do fanwork I follow... I feel kind of crappy about it, but over 200 people have me friended and that's way too many for me to keep up with to add them all back. But of course I know who you are, we talked on my Failsday parody picspam post about how you crush on Kyle Gallner :D
Oddly similar now that I look at it. How weird is that? I never really paid attention at how close they were until you pointed it out. Thanks for sharing this.
