And where is Tohoshinki dude's sister? lol at her being conveniently forgotten for the sake of drama. How rude.

I had high hopes for this because I love the Eita/Ueno Juri combination so DAMN. Did it just go off the deep end?

It was getting gradually worse but then this week just bottomed out. I don't mind silly or over the top storylines if I like the characters, but I hate every single one of these people, and the connections between all the characters seem so fake and forced, so I have no patience. XD;

And yeah, the only reason I kept watching it was to hang in there to see Eita and Juri hook up, and now the finale is next week and I don't even care anymore because I think both their characters are obnoxious, lol. The entire cast could die in a fire and I would be pretty okay with it?! And I REALLY LOVE EITA AND JURI A LOT SO THAT IS SAYING SOMETHING.

It's the oldest cliche out of the Book of Oldest Shoujo Cliches. One half of a one-confession-short-of-a-couple couple runs to the airport and says the fateful words and somehow the other person will always abandon all their responsibilities, months of trip planning, hundreds of thousands of yen of travel and accommodation bookings, and practically every good sense that allowed them to make the decision in the first place, and jump into the first person's arms.

But since they were travelling without luggage, clearly minimal planning has occurred and they won't be losing much.

By the way, I still don't get why he sawed open his jugular apart from possibly Tamayama went and licked some very expensive boots for the chance to get kicked off the regular cast. Okay, so it's out of the closet, and Eita even said "yay! I don't care! Give me a few minutes to underline all our previous friendly encounters with my giant homoerotic highlighter! Now let's hold hands!"

I must have missed the character building somewhere...but I'm not going back to look for it =_=;;;

I didn't really buy it either but he was already having his meltdown over having painted himself into a corner at work when he stood up his sugar mommy, and on top of that his parents were trying to marry him off? Confessing his luv to Eita was just the last straw in a week that was overloaded on crazy drama.

I still don't know where like half of the story threads in this show went, though. Creepy drug-dealing student seemed to have Evil Plans for Juri and his girlfriend was all pissy in class, and yet she stumbled into the drug stuff by accident so that went nowhere. Her druggie hikikomori brother being involved went nowhere. Peach has no point on this show whatsoever except to be a sounding board and to throw herself at people to stir up drama. And nobody's hinted that Juri and Eita are maybe possibly siblings in a while, either. I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

Yeah! I was wondering what happened to evil student and her brother! I thought they must have been kicked off while I wasn't watching (which was pretty much episodes 3-7 and most of 8 and 9...). So they never resolved that?? I see Juri's mum floating around quite a bit but I remember wondering where her brother disappeared to O_o So no sister, no brother...no one of any inconvenient consequence is around.

If they pull that BokuImo thing where they go "incest is sinful so we should split up but before we do let's totally bang each other. COS THAT'S HOW I WANNA REMEMBER YOU".

Was possibly the most mindf*cking reason ever for impromptu sex.

....Just mentioning this, in context of them possibly being siblings. There's a benchmark of lowness for it to sink towards.

Evil student was caught dealing by Juri and she got him arrested. They had made a big deal beforehand over her brother doing drugs with evil student, yet her brother seems to have completely vanished lol.

I don't think this drama has it in itself to be anywhere near as insanely hilarious as Bokuimo (manga, not movie lol). Bokuimo: where if you're only HALF-SIBLINGS, it's only HALF WRONG. (Not a lot of people know that if you're only HALF-RELATED, that half is apparently the difference that makes it a-okay to fuck in a church!) And in Eita and Juri's case I don't even care if it's half-wrong or all-wrong, I want some mackage at the end as my reward for getting through this. XD

lol this was one of the least plausible overseas trips I've ever seen on television. Booking a flight a week ahead of time. No luggage. No apparent need to give notice to their workplaces ahead of time that they're prancing off to Korea. No worry about travel visas or anything. And most importantly, NO SISTER.

I miss Makino period, especially after sitting through this trainwreck. MOAR DRAMAS WITH CHICKS I DON'T WANT TO SLAP, PLZ.

Word. Juri's picked the crappiest projects lately. This show is dramatic but it's so bad, and when she does comedy she seems to just get stuck playing Nodame... I want to see her go back to characters like Ruka. :(

Presumably Juri failed her exam and so it ended her tenure? >_>;;;; I have not been paying much attention, as you can probably tell. But yes...the no luggage bit...I'm glad you pointed that out (was too floored by my prediction coming true to notice it). It's a clear sign that even the director/writer doesn't give a damn anymore.

Yeah...I didn't really like her 5 bags skits that she had last year either. Ruka was a highlight. I'd like to see her in more varied roles. She's got one of the best acting skills of her age group. It's a shame to let it go to waste on stuff like this.

Juri said she thought it would be too hard to stay at her job, implying she didn't want to stay just because it was embarrassing that she'd failed when her principal had offered her a recommendation to the position she wanted. But I suspect when she decides to stay in Japan with Eita and ganbaru towards her dream, her job will still magically be there waiting. :P

Yeah, I know. I wish someone would give her the lead in a classy drama. I'm kinda disappointed because Juri and Mao are my two favorite actresses, and I feel like both of them are treading water a bit since their big hits. I thought Ruka should have been the big breakthrough role for Juri, but she's only taken steps back since then. :/
