LOL. Kara's totally the reason I tuned in.

Everything about this picspam is gorgeous, even the crashlanding. I see the writers finally got their "Kara gives Clark flying lessons, but he's so stupid he crashes through the barn" scene they wanted to do back in Season 7. I get that they might not have wanted to show him mastering the ability right off, especially, since the character is supposed to be afraid of heights, but if it had been me, he would have flown by himself in the premiere, so he didn't fall to the ground. Oh well. I guess it's cooler to show Kara being more awesome than Clark :)

I'm not a Kara fangurl. Nothing against LV, but I think bringing Kara onto the show was a mistake, pretty much for the reasons you mention here, she makes Clark look like even more of a loser.

I always loved her but even moreso in retrospect, because I think Clark really lost something as a character once all his family vanished. Also now Clark is doing a fantastic job looking like a massive loser all by himself, so Kara coming to emphasize it is just totally hilarious to me.

Thanks! And yeah the effects this ep were TERRIBLE. I think it's because apparently next week's ep is hugely effects-heavy, and they needed that done early for its press screening, so Kara got screwed. They cut two, maybe three of her scenes and I'm guessing it's because effects couldn't get finished. T_T

S7 finish + Kara spinoff probably would have been my ideal sendoff for SV, yeah. (Though she probably would have had to randomly lose her powers twice every year for them to handle the effects budget with the flying, lol.)

IMO if she had gotten spun off they would have kept the amnesia arc they had set up around Blue, and have put her missing in a different city with a new name and unknown abut who she was and doing the under ground stuff for a season or four.
