My parents' home connection is such a wreck I can barely surf the net, and haven't watched any new Japanese TV since leaving Japan (which is fine, I have like a year of Arashi backlog on my external drive to catch up on). I had the car today though, so I drove to McDonald's to use their wireless and try to download all of Natsuniji (I left off on episode three).
THE ON-PARADE OF MOE JUST NEVER ENDS WITH THIS DRAMA, DOES IT.
I want to be BFF with the scriptwriter for this show and have Arashi-kai with her, because it's like Jun is basically playing THE BEST MOE HITS exaggerated version of himself. And she HAS to be a crazy fangirl because none of the moe is new. SHE IS WRITING HER OWN BORDERLINE-EXPLOITATIVE JUN RPF IN DRAMA FORM.
IF I WROTE A DRAMA FOR JUN AND COULD MAKE HIM DANCE LIKE MY LITTLE PUPPET, THIS IS WHAT I WOULD WRITE. EXACTLY.
When he fell in the pool for absolutely no narrative reason in the fourth episode except for the appeal of getting him wet, I was just like, "...SERIOUSLY I WANT TO BE THIS SCRIPTWRITER'S FRIEND. WE ARE CUT FROM THE SAME WOTA CLOTH."
Now I'm on episode five where they can't afford to order sushi, so Jun and Yuko have to make dinner together IN AN EXTENDED MONTAGE. NNNNNNNNNNGH.
