updates on my embarrassing project tumblr

I've thus far been following the pattern of: make about 100 posts, go insane from trying to cap earrings, abandon project for two months, rinse, repeat. But I have a fairly long to-do list of SV fandom stuff I wanna finish before the show ends, so it's my goal to finish up to S10 by the end of hiatus.

Over the past two days, I uploaded the caps for all of S5 and S6. I also went back and tagged everything by season to make things a bit easier to find.

I already had the bracelet tag, but along that line of meta reasoning, now I've also added tags for:

+ turquoise stone jewelry
+ diamond shapes
+ heart shapes
+ butterflies
+ sun shapes (short now, but I know there's more later)
+ leaves

I considered doing flowers, and then was like, "LOL NO I SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING THAT FROM THE BEGINNING IT WOULD BE LIKE EVERY OTHER POST."

And I also tagged:

+ all of her coats
+ formal wear

If there's something else you'd like to see tag-wise, then let me know sooner rather than later while I'm still only 2/3rds through. :3

Well when I'm home I can help look; I just remember the Justice top because M and I had a crazy epiphany about what was actually going on in it (especoally as I think it was in another episode).

Maybe I'll do notes later tonight if I can't sleep.

Hee, I like birds vs butterflies; especially since butterflies have the very strong Metamorphosis connotation which ties into the "I'll never out grow you."

You're welcome! I did however seriously consider asking about plaid tag to go along with the primary colors scheme but, again, figured it was pretty asinine.

Nope, plaid actually sounds like a good idea since I think that's relevant in a meta sense! especially since Zoe was in plaid after Clayton totally got lucky after the dance ahaha

Dude, your caps are the first time I've noticed that they are diamonds made up of diamonds (not a circle halftone as I had thought).

OMG, spoiling meeeeee.

And interesting, considering I always figured they'd reuse the red blanket at some point and haven't; Lana got the plaid shirts (Hidden) as did Nois (Gone), and Chloe got the jersey (Devoted) as did Nois (Committed, Ambush)... but the red towel meta of Injustice and Escape (and the Clexian call around of it being a full circle ender) made me think they'd go there...

But she was in plaid not red. Interestingggg.

There weren't that many so it wasn't hard. :)

Zoe? It was a dark red plaid shirt in the last scene, but not flannel or anything, just a normal cute shirt with red plaid print.

Well it kinda started with Lexmas (Thirst doesn't really count since it's a costume), which they probably thought of because it was Christmassy? And then I guess they just ran with it from the Chloisy angle.

I'm thinking that they were probably doing it for the symbolism there; remember Holly was setting up that it was a universe where Chloe was Lois Lane minus, obviously, hair change, and while Clark clearly hadn't married her yet and seemed worried about ever doing so (so clearly, it places Lex as the reason they are OTP which is a great link back to the visuals of Tempest so I really love it) they really obviously directed AM to hide her ring finger, and the back touch, and the dialog setting up Clark helping her find her tree & working together & leaking to Ausi that Chlark were "living in sin"...

I think it was done to paint her fully as Clark's girl from the drop, as he's in solids and she's in plaids. They both wear red (traditional holiday) but he brings in the blue and she brings in the yellow making them united in Supermanliness.

Which, putting her in plaid there makes sense as they had already clearly set it up in Hidden with Lana and her scenes with the Kents and with Lex, and they had teased it a bit in Gone prior with people's assumptions.

So my guess is plaid = real Clark's girl / human Clark's girl. Which is why it was used with Lana and used with Chloe especially in like s9. But it's clearly become ~a theme~ from there on out, much like the use of the primaries and the use of the secondary complimentary color combos. *shrug*
