You know, sometimes I wonder why everyone clings to hope with this show.

Then I remember S4's overall quality contrasted with the awesome of the finale.

...um, too bad that didn't exactly set a precedent for saving crappy seasons with epic awesome in the end, since it hasn't happened since. BUT I SEE WHERE WE COULD GET THE FALSE HOPE THAT IT COULD HAPPEN AGAIN

For this month's challenge at picspammy. With eight seasons worth of caps to choose from, this could quickly get out of hand, so I decided to choose strictly my favorite character-based moments. Meaning: not my favorite Chloe outfits, not my favorite Chloe hair, no moments where she was mindwhammied, and no shippiness (except for the ones where shippiness and awesome coincide).

New Ohno drama announcement: SHOKKU! In a good way, though I'm venturing this means no Jun drama for winter despite all the rumors. Now the tinhatters say word on the street is it'll be spring instead for Jun.

"Bride" promo: The wedding color scheme in the promos makes it pretty clear as to the Brainiac question. Like Chloe would stand for orange and yellow as her wedding colors if James Marsters weren't the one still driving. SO FUG. Her wedding dress is gorgeous, though!

Picspam so far. In which we relearn, yet again, that there is nothing on this show I care about quite so much as Chloe's hair and her rockin' wardrobe.

Why won't they cancel this show already and put me out of my misery. :(

Went to see PotC a second time with murasaki_kaze. It was much, much better the second time around. Then we went back to her place and watched Doctor Who. It was having one of its good weeks (I'm starting to think of the show as tragically bipolar).

While I was at her house, she found out that her EGL comms were warning everyone about Strikethroughgate, but I didn't realize it was such a big deal until I woke up yesterday morning. I spent the morning reading through it, and then spent my evening capping Dead Man's Chest and rewatching Slings & Arrows S1 with my brother (mojotastic made a truly kickass picspam/videospam post for Slings & Arrows, hurrah!). After much laughing at Orlando Bloom and laughing at Darren Nichols (for very, very different reasons) I came back and then the apology was up.

My portfolio is back from the printer. No major mishaps happened. The pages weren't cut quite as close to the edge as I'd like, but that's hardly a disaster.

In celebration: PICSPAM. I think this was probably the prettiest episode of SV, ever. Oh, and I want to marry Jimmy Olsen once Chloe's done with him.

(And I totally took about fifty caps of that Chlark bit. You know, the one that lasted like seven seconds? I HAVE NO SHAME.)

I do still have a fair amount to do, schoolwork-wise. I need to spend all weekend finishing my type project, for one. But I am so relieved that my portfolio's printed. YAY. I'M ALMOST DONE.

I got my book halfway done tonight, before running back home to see Smallville. My week is definitely looking up! I would even venture to say that it looks pretty cool thus far.

Wow, I feel like I haven't done this in ages. But since my book is on the move and I have more than a few minutes to breathe... ( Progeny picspam! And hey, I'm thinking the bangs are almost starting to work for Chloe. I think they layered some more around her face so the bangs don't look as harsh as they used to. )

JET interview: I walked away feeling like I'd done my best. If I don't get in, I'll...well, I'll be surprised (ah, that sounds so overconfident, now that I read it! but really, that's how satisfied I feel). But I won't have regrets either way, because I really feel like I gave it my all, and if they don't want me after that, then I can't complain.

( Smallville: Freak picspam. AKA, MY OTP IS BETTER THAN YOURS, and Chloe's level of awesome is the reason I'm not pining for Veronica Mars post-breakup. Oh yes, VM. You heard me. Smallville is kicking your ass in the awesome blonde chick department *and* the OTP department. FEEL THE SHAME. )

Woke up at 9:27 for my 9:40 class. Considering that I live like...twelve blocks? from campus and the class in question was up on the part of campus with the zillion steps, I feel I deserve an award of managing to get there by 9:47 (no bus, no shuttle, just running as fast as I could!). The projector was broken so the lecture hadn't started yet when I got there, which was good.

Afterwards, though, Erica and I did lunch and then downloaded the new Hanadan from her room. The download took forever, though, so we ended up watching The Nightmare Before Christmas, and then live action Sailormoon on YouTube. She'd never seen it before, which made it even more awesome to mock together.

Then, Hanadan. One of her dormmates wandered in during Sailormoon, and she decided to just stick around for Hanadan despite not knowing Japanese. So basically, Erica and I were watching together, literally clinging to each other's hands for dear life, screaming bloody murder, and then waiting for a lull to briefly summarize the dialogue for the other girl.

( Hanadan Returns 05. About halfway through the episode, the girl watching with us remarked, 'Based on today's viewing, I've come to the conclusion that all Japanese guys are totally emo.' Hee. Oh, and the picspam overdosed on Tsukasa's red coat. I WANT THAT COAT FOR MYSELF LIKE BURNING, YOU GUYS. )

Sooo...I'm scared I might fail college this semester? I shouldn't even be doing picspam right now, but since I have more homework than I think I could finish if I worked 24/7 all weekend (I told Erica the work I need to do by Monday and she wailed, "I'm going to CRY!!" "I should be the one crying!!" "I'll cry for you!!"), I'm feeling less inspired and more fatalistic about the situation.
